PPG shows color, textured options for aerospace transparency plastic at NBAA

PPG is displaying a commercial aircraft passenger-cabin window prototype fabricated from OPTICOR™ advanced transparency material and color and textured clear samples of the PPG proprietary aerospace plastic at the National Business Aviation Association convention and exhibition. Visitors can learn more at PPG’s booth 1219 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, Nov. 1-3.

ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 1, 2016 – PPG (NYSE:PPG) is displaying a commercial aircraft passenger-cabin window prototype fabricated from OPTICOR™ advanced transparency material and color and textured clear samples of the PPG proprietary aerospace plastic at the National Business Aviation Association convention and exhibition. Visitors can learn more at PPG’s booth 1219 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida, Nov. 1-3.

According to Mark Hood, PPG global director, general aviation transparencies, Opticor advanced transparency material is the lightest weight plastic available for aerospace transparencies, saving weight on aircraft for enhanced fuel efficiency.
