A brushable compound and fast cure designed for sealing integral fuel tanks and pressurized cabins. PR-1440 M Class A was developed for a use over a temperature range of - 55° C to + 135° C with intermittent use to 180°C, and with outstanding resistance to aircraft fuels (aviation gasoline or jet fuel), petroleum base lubrificating oils, and to deterioration by hydraulic fluids type phosphoric ester.
PR-1440 M Class A is a two-part sealant, based on polysulfide liquid polymers and manganese accelerator. After mixing, it cures at room temperature, giving a strong and flexible sealant., without shrinkage, and with excellent adhesion to aluminium, titanium, stainless steel, and other many aerospace paints. The mixed compound has a fluid consistency which enable it to be applied by brush and has an excellent self leveling power. |
