The main windshield is a glass-faced polycarbonate-acrylic laminate, combining the toughness and chemical resistance properties of glass with the weight-saving benefits of plastic. Two polycarbonate main plies provide high impact resistance and have a high strength-to-ratio, while an acrylic inboard ply affords scratch resistance.
